Bio
A product of the Richmond development pathway, Trevor Wilson rose through the ranks from the Fourths to become a key member of the Tigers' back-to-back Under-19 premiership sides in 1968 and 1969. A skilful and creative rover who rotated through the forward pocket, he dominated at the lower levels—topping the reserves goalkicking in 1970—but struggled to break into Tom Hafey’s star-studded senior lineup. He managed just two games for Richmond, notably coming off the bench to boot two goals in the final round of 1970 against his future club, Footscray. Seeking regular senior football, Wilson crossed to the Western Oval for the 1971 season but added only one more VFL appearance before moving to Williamstown in the VFA. While his time at the elite level was brief, he forged a significant post-playing career in country football, captain-coaching Bena, Pakenham, and Korumburra to success before mentoring the next generation as coach of the Gippsland Power in the mid-1990s.
