Bio
Selected by Essendon with pick 28 in the 2002 National Draft, Tristan Cartledge was an athletic tall prospect recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels. He spent four seasons at Windy Hill but found senior opportunities scarce, managing just seven games as a developing ruckman and forward before being delisted at the end of 2006. After spending a year out of the system, he was thrown a lifeline by Richmond via the 2008 Rookie Draft following solid form in the VFL. Cartledge was elevated to the senior list and played two matches for the Tigers, but he struggled to impact contests physically or displace established ruckmen. He was delisted for the final time at the conclusion of the 2008 season.
