Stats
Bio
Recruited from Mooroopna in the Goulburn Valley, Trojan Darveniza joined St Kilda following a standout 1945 season where he claimed his local club's best and fairest award. A member of a well-known winemaking family with Croatian heritage, he brought a towering physical presence to the Junction Oval; standing 187cm and weighing 96kg, he was exceptionally heavy and strong for the era. Ideally built for key position battles or ruck work, he relied on his raw size to impact contests in a league that was slowly rebuilding after the war. Darveniza managed six senior games and kicked one goal during the 1946 season, but despite his imposing frame, he could not secure a regular spot in the side and departed the VFL scene after a single year.
