Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle, Troy Johnson was originally selected by the Brisbane Bears with pick 24 in the 1994 National Draft. A mid-sized utility capable of playing through the midfield or across half-forward, he struggled to break into a developing Bears lineup that was rapidly approaching finals contention, managing just a solitary senior appearance in 1996. After being delisted by Brisbane, Johnson returned to his home state when Fremantle offered him a second chance at AFL level with pick 56 in the 1997 National Draft. Despite the change of scenery, he found it equally difficult to cement a spot in the Dockers' 22, adding only one more game to his career tally in 1998 before returning to the WAFL.
