Bio
Selected by Richmond with pick 51 in the 2009 National Draft, Troy Taylor was a mercurial forward prospect recruited from South Alice Springs via the NT Thunder. Blessed with natural athleticism, strong hands, and an innate goal sense, he offered a point of difference in the Tigers' forward line and made his debut against Geelong in Round 6, 2010. Despite showcasing flashes of his raw potential across four senior games in his maiden campaign, Taylor struggled significantly with the transition to life in Melbourne and the rigorous demands of professional football. He did not add to his game tally in 2011 and was eventually delisted after failing to return to the club for pre-season training, marking a premature end to a promising but unfulfilled AFL career.
