Bio
Recruited from Swan Districts, Troy Ugle was a diminutive but highly skillful rover and small forward who possessed excellent goal sense. Joining the West Coast Eagles in their formative years, he displayed flashes of brilliance and maintained a neat goal-per-game average, but ultimately struggled to cement a permanent position in a rapidly developing powerhouse. With the Eagles' engine room featuring superstars such as Peter Matera, Dean Kemp, and Brett Heady, Ugle was often squeezed out of the senior side, managing just 43 appearances across seven seasons. He departed the club at the end of 1994 without featuring in either of the Eagles' premierships from that era, returning to the WAFL where he remained a standout performer for many years.
