Bio
Recruited from Shepparton in the Goulburn Valley, Vern Daniel arrived at Melbourne during the 1909 season. His VFL career was characterised by sporadic opportunities rather than consistent selection, as he struggled to command a permanent spot in the Fuschias' lineup over a four-year tenure. Managing scattered appearances across the 1909, 1910, and 1912 seasons, he served as a depth player who drifted between the reserves and the senior side. Ultimately, Daniel played just five games and kicked a single goal for the club before departing the league, unable to establish himself as a regular fixture at the highest level.
