Bio
Recruited from VFA club Prahran midway through the 1913 season, Vic McNeil was a useful depth player who joined Essendon during one of the club's most successful eras. Arriving at East Melbourne just after the "Same Olds" had secured back-to-back premierships, the 178cm utility faced a difficult task breaking into a star-studded lineup but managed to earn his debut in Round 11 against Richmond. He held his spot for five games in his debut year and added another seven appearances in 1914, kicking his solitary career goal in a victory over St Kilda. His brief VFL tenure concluded at the end of the 1914 season, coinciding with the competition's disruption due to the outbreak of the First World War.
