Bio
Born in Moolap, Vic Profitt was a teacher by trade who arrived at the Pivotonians after a stint captain-coaching Bendigo South. Standing just 171cm, the diminutive utility managed only a handful of senior appearances across two seasons, balancing his brief VFL career with his educational duties at the Gordon Institute of Technology. While his time at the top level was short, his influence on local sport was profound; he became a legendary Sports Master at Geelong College, famously coaching the school to its maiden APS premiership in 1925—the same year his VFL club secured its own flag. Profitt later served as a Major in the Second World War and is remembered today as a premier administrator of schoolboy sport in the region rather than for his on-field exploits.
