Stats
Bio
Recruited from Preston in the VFA, where he established himself as a lethal goalkicker with a massive haul of 98 goals in the 1924 season, Victor Davis arrived at Princes Park with a reputation for finding the big sticks. The Eaglehawk-born forward immediately translated his lower-grade form to the elite level, booting 42 goals in just 19 games for the Blues across two seasons. Despite averaging better than two goals a game—a strike rate that would be the envy of many modern forwards—his VFL career was surprisingly brief, concluding after the 1926 season. While he did not enjoy a long tenure at Carlton, his natural ability to hit the scoreboard made him a dangerous attacking weapon during his short stint in navy blue.
