Bio
A tall centreman recruited from the VFA, Victor Nielsen played a brief cameo for Melbourne during the 1907 season that was derailed by a frightening injury. After holding his spot in the senior side for the first part of the year, his campaign was interrupted in Round 7 when he received a severe blow over the heart that sidelined him for nine weeks. Nielsen showed resilience to return for a final appearance in Round 17, but he was unable to consolidate his place in the team and was cleared back to Footscray the following year to continue his career in the Association.
