Bio
A versatile utility recruited from CBC North Melbourne, Vin Crowe was a standout junior who captained the VFL Under 19 representative side but found senior opportunities scarce at Punt Road. His sole appearance for Richmond came as a reserve in 1964, eventually prompting a move to the amateur ranks to regain confidence. Crowe’s dominance at Kew Amateurs—highlighted by a premiership and competition Best and Fairest—earned him a VFL lifeline with Hawthorn, where he added 14 games over two seasons as a rugged defender and ruck-rover. While his time at the top level was brief, he later forged a celebrated career in the VFA, featuring in Prahran’s 1970 premiership and earning selection in the club’s Team of the Century.
