Stats
Bio
Recruited from Essendon District, Vin Morrissey was a defensive utility who managed a brief VFL career with Footscray in the post-war era. Standing 180cm, he offered reasonable height for a backman of the time and joined the club as they pushed toward a finals appearance in 1948. Despite featuring in the 1949 Kornies football card series—a sign of his standing as a senior list member—he ultimately struggled to command a regular spot in the Bulldogs' lineup. Morrissey played 13 goalless games over two seasons before departing the top level at the conclusion of the 1949 season.
