Bio
Recruited from West Adelaide with pick 34 in the 1993 National Draft, Wade Chapman was a utility player best known for his distinctive long blonde ponytail and capacity to play as a tall forward or defender. His career at the Swans coincided with the club's mid-90s resurgence, and he notably featured in the side that contested the 1996 Grand Final loss to North Melbourne. However, Chapman's tenure was marred by persistent soft tissue injuries that prevented him from stringing together consistent seasons or cementing a permanent role in the best 22. After managing just 51 games across six years, he was delisted at the end of the 1999 season and returned to South Australia to captain West Adelaide in the SANFL.
