Stats
Bio
Recruited from North Adelaide with pick 37 in the 2008 National Draft, Wade Thompson was a lightning-quick small forward best remembered for a stunning burst of form during the 2009 pre-season. He generated immediate hype during the NAB Cup, particularly after a three-goal performance against the Sydney Swans where his elite speed and tackling pressure were on full display. This momentum earned him a debut in Round 1, 2009, but he found it difficult to replicate that impact during the premiership season, going goalless in two consecutive appearances before returning to state league level. Unable to break back into the senior side, Thompson was delisted by the Power at the end of the 2010 season.
