Bio
Recruited from Auburn, Wally Cook was a determined wingman who found his greatest success at Punt Road in the seconds. He established himself as a standout performer in the reserves, notably being voted the best player in Richmond's 1946 reserves premiership victory. Cook finally earned his senior opportunity the following season, managing four appearances in the top flight during 1947, but he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting lineup. Seeking regular senior football, he crossed to the VFA to join Camberwell, where he forged a solid five-season career.
