Bio
Hailing from the Mornington Peninsula, diminutive on-baller Wally Guy joined North Melbourne from Carrum midway through the 1934 season. Standing just 169cm, the rover made his debut in Round 9 against Essendon and managed to hold his spot for the remainder of the year, rotating forward to boot four goals in his eight appearances for the Shinboners. While his VFL tenure was limited to a single winter at Arden Street, Guy was the eldest member of a significant footballing family, with his younger brother Eric later carving out a career at St Kilda and his nephew Gary playing for Melbourne. He eventually returned to country football, cementing his status as a local standout by winning a best and fairest award with Sorrento in the Mornington Peninsula league.
