Teams

Recruited from the prestigious Xavier College football program and the local St Kilda District side, Wally Tuck made his VFL debut for St Kilda in 1919 as the competition returned to full strength following the Great War. A defensive-minded utility who rarely ventured forward, Tuck managed just a single goal during his tenure at the Junction Oval. His career was characterized by a lack of continuity, most notably when he spent the entire 1920 season out of the senior side before earning a recall for a final string of appearances in 1921. Unable to cement a permanent spot in a lineup that featured club icons like Wels Eicke and Roy Cazaly, Tuck finished his brief VFL career with 18 games to his name.
