Bio
Recruited from local feeder club Aberfeldie, Warren Prest was a strongly built follower who broke into the Essendon senior side in the mid-1950s. Standing at 187cm, he offered height and physical presence around the stoppages, but found opportunities limited within a competitive Bombers lineup, managing just three senior appearances across the 1955 and 1956 seasons. Unable to cement a permanent spot at Windy Hill, he transferred to the VFA to play for Preston for two years before continuing his career in the lower leagues. Prest later became a noticeable figure in district football, eventually serving as captain-coach for Mernda in the 1960s.
