Bio
Arriving at Carlton in 1984 with a formidable reputation as a spearhead for Claremont, Warren Ralph made one of the most spectacular entrances in VFL history by booting nine goals on debut against North Melbourne. A traditional full-forward known for his sharp leading lanes and reliable set-shot routine, he offered the Blues a potent avenue to goal during a defined window in the mid-1980s. Despite his prolific scoring rate—averaging nearly three and a half goals per game—Ralph's tenure at Princes Park was ultimately short-lived, restricted by injury interruptions and the challenge of settling into the Victorian system. He played in the 1984 Grand Final loss to Essendon but departed the VFL after just three seasons, returning to the WAFL where he cemented his standing as one of Western Australia's greatest ever goalkickers.
