Bio
Recruited from Sunshine in the VFA, Wayne Foreman was a capable half-forward who broke into the Footscray senior side in 1977. After three seasons at the Western Oval, he crossed to Essendon in 1980 and made an immediate impact, winning the club's Best First Year Player award and finishing as the Bombers' third-highest goalkicker that season. An efficient operator known for going about his business without fanfare, he played a role on the flank in Essendon's 1981 Night Premiership victory. His VFL career was ultimately curtailed by injury during his second year at Windy Hill, leading him to finish his playing days with a two-season stint at West Perth in the WAFL.
