Bio
Recruited from Oakleigh Districts, Wayne Judd was a solidly built half-forward who worked his way through the Richmond grades during a golden era for the club. He first established his credentials as a member of the 1967 Under-19s premiership side and impressed as a key contributor in the 1968 reserves finals series. Judd broke into the senior lineup midway through the 1969 season, utilizing his strong overhead marking and goal sense to boot nine goals in just seven appearances. Despite this promising cameo, he found it difficult to secure a permanent position in a powerhouse squad destined for that year's premiership. His VFL career concluded at the end of the season, after which he crossed to the VFA to play for Oakleigh and later Box Hill.
