Bio
Originally from Rochdale, England, Stott was a sturdy defender who took a circuitous route to the top level via Kerang and the VFA. After making a brief two-game cameo for Essendon in 1913, his footballing prime was consumed by the Great War, where he served with the 8th Light Horse Regiment at Gallipoli and in Egypt. He eventually returned to the VFL in 1919 as a battle-hardened 30-year-old, adding grit to the Richmond backline for two seasons before finishing his career as a coach in the Ovens and Murray League.
