Recruited from Mt Gravatt via the 2005 Rookie Draft, Will Hamill was a pacy small forward and midfielder who joined the Brisbane Lions just as their premiership dynasty began to fade. He earned elevation to the senior list to make his debut in Round 16, 2006 against Hawthorn, notably kicking a goal during his brief stint at the top level. While he offered speed and agility in the forward half, Hamill was unable to cement a regular position within the senior side during the club's transitional phase and was delisted following the 2007 season after just three career appearances.
