Bio
Recruited from the Gippsland Power with pick six in the 2013 Pre-Season Draft, Will Hams was a courageous left-footed utility who attacked the contest with scant regard for his own safety. While he possessed a fearless approach to the game, his time at Essendon was heavily impacted by recurring hip injuries, resulting in him being delisted and immediately re-drafted as a rookie ahead of the 2015 season. He found his most significant opportunities during the club's depleted 2016 campaign, where he played eight of his 13 career matches as the Bombers navigated the season with a makeshift squad. Despite his work rate and versatility across half-back and the midfield, Hams was unable to secure a long-term position on the senior list and was delisted at the conclusion of 2016.
