Bio
Recruited from East Keilor, Bill Berry was a serviceable utility who carved out a decade-long career across three League clubs despite never fully cementing a permanent senior spot. He debuted for Essendon as a teenager but found opportunities scarce at Windy Hill, playing just 14 games in three seasons before crossing to Footscray in search of regular selection. It was at the Western Oval that Berry played his most consistent football, utilised primarily as a wingman or half-forward capable of hitting the scoreboard, though he often found himself on the fringe of the senior side. After six seasons with the Bulldogs, he moved to North Melbourne for a final two-year stint, serving as a depth player for the Kangaroos before concluding a persistent journeyman career that spanned eleven seasons.
