Bio
A decorated WAFL star before he ever arrived at Windy Hill, Willie Dick was a classic livewire small forward who joined the Bombers as a mature-age recruit. Plucked from the Perth Demons with pick 21 in the 1991 National Draft, the 26-year-old Noongar man from Goomalling brought exceptional speed and indigenous flair to Kevin Sheedy's squad, operating as a dangerous rover who could hit the scoreboard. Despite showing glimpses of his class in the senior side—including a debut against St Kilda—he struggled to settle in Victoria, managing just seven senior appearances while playing a key role in the Bombers' 1992 Reserves premiership victory. He requested a clearance back to Western Australia at the end of his solitary season for family reasons, returning to Perth where he is considered a club great, and is the uncle of former Collingwood and West Coast forward Brad Dick.
