Bio
Recruited from Bridgewater in the Loddon Valley, Willie Rogers earned a brief opportunity with Melbourne during the club's lean 1906 season. The Maryborough-born footballer broke into the lineup in Round 2 and retained his spot for eight matches, battling away in a side that ultimately finished last on the ladder. Rogers failed to trouble the scorers during his short stint in the VFL and parted ways with the Redlegs at the end of the year, leaving a modest footprint as a one-season player during a forgettable era for the club.
