Fantasy

Recruited from the Perth Demons with pick 27 in the 2016 National Draft, Zac Fisher began his career at Carlton as a lively small forward capable of rotating through the midfield. Known for his evasive stepping, low centre of gravity, and creative left-foot distribution, he showed glimpses of high-end talent but struggled for continuity due to a series of injuries and inconsistent form. As the Blues' midfield depth improved, Fisher found himself on the fringes of the best 22, eventually being trialled as a rebounding defender in 2023 to utilise his kicking skills coming out of the back half.

Seeking more regular opportunities and a consolidated role, Fisher requested a trade to North Melbourne following the 2023 season. He arrived at Arden Street as an experienced head amidst a rebuilding squad, tasked with providing run and carry from the half-back line. While his defensive game has at times been scrutinised, his ability to break lines and set up attacking chains has made him a valuable distributor for the Kangaroos. Now in the prime of his career, Fisher serves as a senior figure in North Melbourne's defensive unit, looking to provide stability and drive for a developing team.
