Bio
A product of the GWS Academy in Albury, Zach Sproule joined the Giants as a Category B rookie in 2016 but was forced to bide his time before cracking the senior side. Renowned for his elite running capacity and defensive pressure for a player of his height (197cm), he spent his early years developing at NEAFL level while navigating multiple administrative delistings and rookie re-selections to remain on the list. After a long-awaited debut in 2019, he enjoyed his best run of form in 2021, famously booting two clutch goals in the Giants' thrilling one-point Elimination Final win over cross-town rivals Sydney. Ultimately serving as a depth tall behind established stars like Jeremy Cameron and Harry Himmelberg, Sproule was a popular clubman who played 17 games across six seasons before being delisted at the end of 2022.
