Bio
Recruited from St Mary's in the NTFL with the final selection of the 2010 National Draft, Zephaniah Skinner was a raw but electrifying talent who joined the Western Bulldogs as a mature-age prospect. An explosive forward possessing a remarkable vertical leap and natural goal sense, he quickly generated excitement for his capacity to pull off the spectacular in the forward half. Despite becoming a cult figure among the Bulldogs faithful, Skinner found the adjustment to the professional standards of elite football and the Melbourne lifestyle difficult to sustain. Battling homesickness and the rigours of AFL conditioning, he played just eight games across two seasons before opting to walk away from the league at the end of 2012 to return to his family in the Northern Territory.
