Family

Recruited from Norwood and the older brother of Brisbane ruckman Clark Keating, Aaron Keating carved out a distinctive niche in football folklore as a ruckman who achieved the ultimate success during a remarkably brief tenure. He broke into the Adelaide lineup late in the 1997 season and, in just his third career game, played in the Crows' historic Grand Final victory over St Kilda. In a rare feat, Keating also featured in Norwood's premiership side that same year, securing flags in both the AFL and SANFL in the same season. Despite this momentous start, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the senior side, adding just three games in 1998 before being delisted, concluding his career with a premiership medallion from only six AFL appearances.
