Bio
Recruited from Port Melbourne with pick 72 in the 2003 National Draft, Adrian Deluca arrived at Carlton as a mature-age prospect capable of providing immediate support in the ruck and forward line. Standing 202cm, he was a physically imposing figure who relied on his strength in contested situations and offered a marking target inside 50 during a lean era for the Blues under Denis Pagan. He is the older brother of former Port Adelaide player Fabian Deluca, and the siblings notably opposed each other at AFL level. Despite missing only a handful of games between 2004 and 2006, Deluca surprisingly retired at just 24 years of age to pursue a career in finance, walking away from the game while still a regular member of the senior side.
