Bio
Recruited from Caniambo in the Goulburn Valley, Andy Pattison was a versatile follower and half-back who played as a journeyman during the VFL's second decade. He commenced his league career with Carlton in 1908 but struggled to command a regular place in the Blues' powerful lineup, making just eight appearances over two seasons. Seeking greater opportunity, Pattison crossed to Fitzroy in 1910, where he enjoyed his most consistent stint at senior level, playing 16 games for the Maroons across two years. He moved to Richmond for the 1912 season but managed only a solitary senior appearance—a Round 8 clash against Melbourne—before departing the VFL. Pattison subsequently continued his football journey in the VFA with North Melbourne and Northcote, while distinguishing himself off the field as a career police officer who eventually rose to the rank of Inspector.
