Bio
Archie Hill is a versatile running half-back and one of Queensland's leading prospects in the 2026 draft pool. A Broadbeach Cats junior who has been part of the Gold Coast Academy since age 12, Hill boasts strong football pedigree as the nephew of Geelong premiership forward Cameron Mooney. Known for his hard-running style and leadership out of defence, he has shown an ability to rebound effectively and push up onto a wing.
Hill put together an impressive draft year that culminated in him winning the Gold Coast Academy Player of the Year award. He was a member of the AFL National Academy, played in the Talent League, and represented the Allies at the National Championships. Stepping up to senior football, he looked right at home across his VFL appearances for the Suns, which included an eye-catching debut performance. Invited to the state draft combine, he is widely viewed as a top Queensland prospect, with Gold Coast expected to match any rival bid for his services.
