Bio
Recruited from North Adelaide in the SANFL, Barry Pascoe was a skilful ruck-rover who endured a difficult path to VFL football. He sat out the entire 1966 season to force a clearance to North Melbourne, determined to play alongside his older brother Bob. The pair managed just one season together at Arden Street before Bob’s contract dispute with club officials saw both siblings transfer to St Kilda for the 1968 season. Standing 183cm, Pascoe was a tough ball-winner who could push forward and hit the scoreboard, booting 13 goals in consecutive seasons for the Saints. He quickly became a key contributor at Moorabbin, finishing as one of the club's top Brownlow pollers in his debut year, before a severe cruciate ligament injury prematurely ended his career in 1970 at just 26 years of age.
