Selected by Collingwood with pick 62 in the 2009 National Draft, Ben Sinclair was a pacy utility who successfully transitioned from a high-pressure small forward into a dashing half-back. Recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers, he used his speed and aggression to break lines and apply defensive heat, becoming a reliable contributor to the Magpies' backline during the early 2010s. However, Sinclair's career was defined by a frustrating run of injuries, particularly recurring hamstring issues and concussions that frequently interrupted his momentum just as he appeared to be cementing his spot in the best 22. Despite battling through multiple rehabilitation programs, the toll on his body proved too great, and he was forced into early retirement in 2017 after 63 games.
