Bio
Recruited to Melbourne as a father-son selection in the 2014 National Draft, Billy Stretch arrived at the club carrying the legacy of his father, 1987 Best and Fairest winner Steven Stretch. A hard-running wingman and outside midfielder, he was known for his professionalism and endurance, often serving as a link player in transition. While he enjoyed a promising breakout period during 2016, he ultimately struggled to cement a permanent position in an increasingly competitive Demons engine room. A stress fracture in his foot derailed his 2018 campaign, and after finding senior opportunities scarce across his final two years, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2019 season.
