Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 34 in the 2023 National Draft, Billy Wilson arrived at Carlton as a versatile prospect capable of playing across half-back or through the midfield. Renowned for his acceleration and elite kicking skills, he built a reputation in the junior pathways as a rebounding defender who could break lines and set up attacking chains. He broke into the senior side to make his debut in 2024, offering glimpses of his composure with ball in hand, though he spent much of his early tenure developing his craft in the VFL. Entering the 2026 season, Wilson remains a promising talent fighting to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the Blues' defensive rotation.
