Bio
Recruited from Tallangatta in north-east Victoria, Bob Hodgkin was a diminutive defender who played a brief career with Fitzroy during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Standing at just 170cm, he was typically utilised in the back pocket, where his primary role was to quell dangerous opposition small forwards and crumb loose balls deep in defence. Despite breaking into the senior side for 24 games over three seasons, he found it difficult to lock down a regular spot in the starting lineup. He finished his VFL tenure without kicking a goal, eventually departing the Lions after the 1971 season.
