Bio
Recruited from Prahran as Melbourne scrambled to rebuild its list following the Great War, Bob Love joined the club for its challenging return to VFL competition in 1919. He arrived at the Redlegs alongside his brother, Percy Love, adding to the club's history of sibling pairings during a season where the team failed to register a win. Love made his debut in the opening round and featured in eight matches, booting a solitary goal as part of an inexperienced lineup that struggled to match the league's heavyweights. His brief tenure ended after that single campaign, serving as a transitional figure while the club attempted to re-establish its footing in the post-war era.
