Bio
Recruited from Prahran, Percy Love arrived at the Melbourne Football Club in 1919 to join his brother Bob Love in the red and blue. Entering the league during the immediate post-war era, Love established himself as a capable contributor for the Demons, proving to be a handy avenue to goal with six majors from his eleven senior appearances. He was notably named among Melbourne's best players during a heavy loss to South Melbourne early in the season, battling hard in a side that often struggled to move the ball fluently. Despite showing promise at the top level, his VFL career was short-lived; he did not feature in the senior side in 1920 and was eventually cleared back to Prahran the following year to resume his football in the VFA.
