Bio
Recruited from Mt Gravatt with pick 55 in the 2001 National Draft, Brad Miller carved out a respectable career as a mobile centre half-forward known more for his work rate and contested marking than high goal tallies. During his nine seasons with Melbourne, he often played a structural role up the ground to create space for teammates like David Neitz, eventually earning a place in the club's leadership group. Despite his strong aerobic capacity and competitive nature, Miller battled consistency issues and the pressure of holding down a key post, leading to his delisting at the end of 2010 as the Demons moved toward a youth-focused rebuild.
Miller received a career lifeline from Richmond, who selected him in the 2010 National Draft to add experience to a developing list. His time at Punt Road was defined by his role as a mentor to emerging forwards Jack Riewoldt and Tyrone Vickery, providing a mature body in contests and setting professional standards on the training track. He played 21 games over two seasons for the Tigers before retiring in 2012, finishing his career as a highly respected clubman who maximised his opportunities through sheer effort and resilience.
