Bio
Recruited from Devonport in Tasmania with pick 15 in the 1998 National Draft, Brady Rawlings arrived at North Melbourne just as the club was celebrating its fourth premiership. The younger brother of Jade Rawlings, Brady established himself not as a key position player like his sibling, but as the Kangaroos' premier tagger. Renowned for his supreme fitness and mental discipline, he spent the prime of his career shutting down the competition's most dangerous midfielders, a selfless role that was internally recognised with Syd Barker Medals in 2004 and 2006.
In the latter stages of his career, Rawlings successfully reinvented himself as a rebounding defender, utilising his high-possession game to launch attacks from the back half. This evolution helped him secure a third club champion award in 2010, underlining his remarkable consistency and longevity during a transitional period for the club. He retired in 2011 after 245 games as a one-club player and highly respected vice-captain. Rawlings' contribution to North Melbourne extended well beyond his playing days, as he later returned to Arden Street to serve as the club's General Manager of Football.
