Bio
Recruited from Claremont via the 2004 Rookie Draft, Brett Jones carved out a respectable career as a versatile defender for West Coast. After earning elevation to the senior list, he quickly cemented his spot in a dominant era for the club, becoming a premiership player in just his third season. Standing 189cm, Jones possessed the mobility to match up on medium-sized forwards while maintaining the discipline to assist on taller opponents within the Eagles' defensive zone.
He was a fixture of the backline during the mid-2000s, often tasked with lockdown roles that allowed attacking defenders like David Wirrpanda to rebound. Although soft-tissue injuries and form fluctuations interrupted his consistency following the 2007 season, Jones remained a valued squad member during the club's rebuilding phase. He reached the 100-game milestone early in 2011, securing life membership at West Coast, before retiring at the conclusion of that season.
