Family

The son of Magpies legend Gavin Brown, Callum Brown joined Collingwood as a father-son selection in the 2016 National Draft. A diminutive but busy high half-forward who could rotate through the midfield, he was best known for his agility in traffic, evasion, and defensive pressure, often acting as a link player between the arcs rather than a primary goal scorer. Brown enjoyed his most consistent run of form during the 2019 and 2020 seasons where he was a regular fixture in the senior side, but his impact was frequently debated due to inconsistent ball use by foot. After falling down the pecking order under coach Craig McRae and struggling to cement a spot in the best 22, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2022 season.
