Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons, Cameron Delaney joined his older brother Luke at North Melbourne after being selected with pick 69 in the 2010 National Draft. A mobile key defender capable of playing an intercepting role, Delaney showed promise in the state leagues but found opportunities scarce at AFL level, managing just six senior games over four seasons as he struggled to displace established backmen in the Kangaroos' lineup. Following his delisting by North Melbourne at the end of 2014, he was thrown a lifeline by Geelong in the rookie draft, with the Cats seeking to bolster their tall defensive stocks. However, his tenure at Kardinia Park was derailed by persistent foot and toe injuries, preventing him from playing a senior game for the club before his final delisting at the conclusion of the 2016 season.
