Bio
Cameron Maynard is a speedy small forward whose draft stocks rose rapidly after a strong campaign for Western Australia at the National Championships. The South Fremantle product showcased his goal sense on the big stage, booting multiple goals in wins over South Australia and Victoria Country. A livewire inside the attacking arc, Maynard is known for his pace and agility, and he gained social media attention for celebrating his goals with backflips and cartwheels. His promising under-18 form also earned him a senior WAFL debut for the Bulldogs late in the year, kicking a goal from 14 disposals against West Coast.
An athletic prospect, Maynard backed up his on-field efforts at the national draft combine by finishing second overall in the 20-metre sprint. Scouts admire his X-factor and ability to turn a game quickly, though building four-quarter consistency remains an area for development. With at least five clubs expressing interest leading into the combine, the Fremantle City junior has positioned himself as an intriguing option in the 2026 draft pool.
