Bio
Recruited from the Upper Murray town of Corryong, Charlie Greenhill arrived at Princes Park in 1922 seeking to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Jack Greenhill, who was already established at the club. Standing 183cm, he was a well-built utility for the era who made his debut in Round 4 against Melbourne, but he found it difficult to cement a permanent spot in the Blues' lineup. He managed just three senior VFL appearances before departing midway through the season to join Brunswick in the VFA. Greenhill eventually returned to the bush in 1923, where he forged a successful local career, winning the Upper Murray Football Association's best all-round player award and playing in back-to-back premierships for Corryong.
