Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 20 in the 2024 National Draft, Cooper Hynes is a powerful midfielder-forward known for his contested work and goal sense. The son of former Carlton player John Hynes, he captained the Stingrays and finished runner-up in the Morrish Medal as a junior, impressing recruiters with his ability to extract the ball and impact the scoreboard. A strong-bodied talent capable of breaking tackles and providing an explosive burst from stoppages, Hynes forced his way into the Western Bulldogs' senior side during the 2025 season. He played eight games in his debut year, showing promise as a high-impact rotation player as he looks to cement a regular spot in the Bulldogs' lineup.
